A spin-off from the popular Mayfield next door, Fragments occupies it’s sister cafe/ restaurant’s former site in a old butcher shop. The original tiles and ceiling hooks still remain but the rest of the décor is funky, as are the disco tunes that play over the sound system.

You can still buy (cured) meats here – the idea behind Fragments is that if you like what you ate, you can purchase all of the components of the dish to take home with you – including: the spices, seasonings, oils, vinegars, even the crockery.
Most of the cakes are baked in house and bread is from the Arun Bakery in Stoneybatter. Depending on your mood, you can choose between the Prosecco on tap, from Winelab, or “Ireland’s most ethical coffee” by Imbibe. Otherwise there’s Nik’s Tea, based locally, who produce a selection of award winning loose leaf teas, blended with real fruits, herbs & spices.
