3FE aka Third Floor Espresso is a Dublin based coffee roaster that also has two city centre cafes cafes under the same name.
Owner Colin Harmon entered the industry working at Coffee Angel, just as the specialty coffee scene was beginning to hit Ireland. His first coffee shop opened in 2009, on Abbey st, and is now the home of Vice Coffee Inc.
The owner of Vice is Tom Stafford, former head barista at 3FE. His is just one of many spin-off projects by 3FE alumni – these include Full Circle roasters and cafes such as Granthams, Tamp and Stitch, Five Points and Storyboard.
3FE was (and remains) an influential presence on the Irish ‘third wave’ of coffee and is a widely recognised and respected brand worldwide.
You’ll find their coffee at some of the cafes mentioned above, plus Kaph, Bother Hubbard, The Fumbally, Two Pups Coffee and of course 3FE’s own venues at 32 Grand Canal Street Lower, Dublin 2 and 7 Sussex Terrace, Dublin 4.
