Bear Lemon’s reputation for mouthwatering photography is second only to its renown for healthy baked goods. Vegan Bounty Bars, Gluten-free Brownies or Lemon & Poppy Seed cakes are just some of the specialities you might recognise from cafes across Dublin.
Behind the colourful cakes is Ciara Lennon, a former NCAD student, who previously had a company which made placemats and coasters out of birch wood. In addition, she has spent time working as a chef at cafes like Urbanity and Industry.
Lennon, who lists Yotam Ottolenghi and Ella Woodward as her culinary influences, believes “it’s all about the ingredients”, hence all cakes are made with organic produce. The aesthetic appeal of the brand has been shaped by a trip to Japan and her design background.
You can find Bear Lemon cakes at Two Pups Coffee, The LoCal Kitchen, Project Black and Tang, Ebb & Flow, Vice Coffee Inc, Pog (Bachelors Walk) amongst others. Private parties and corporate events are also catered for.
