This weekend, there is a secret (until now) party happening for coffee enthusiasts. It takes place in a converted warehouse, down a quiet lane, in Rathmines. Here’s what you need to know…
The Ireland Independent Coffee Guide goes on sale this weekend. It is the first guidebook in Ireland to focus exclusively on coffee shops and roasters, and is a clear indication of just how popular coffee has become in recent years, with speciality coffee shops popping up in most large towns across the nation.
The book reveals over 130 of the best speciality coffee shops and roasters across Ireland. Venues are hand-picked by the leading coffee experts and entries offer readers insightful information on each cafe.
To celebrate, publishers Salt Media have teamed up with the good folks at popular Rathmines cafe:
Two fifty Square, and The Feed for a fun-filled party. They have issued the follow invite:
“Brew freaks, bean geeks and the simply curious…to celebrate the launch of the first edition of the guide, we’re having a big bash – and you’re invited! Join us at Two Fifty Square for brews and beers. “
Two Fifty Square is both a roasters and a cafe. The space was formerly a derelict warehouse, once used as a bakery, and is now one of Dublin’s most popular coffee (and brunch) spots.
The party runs from 7pm until 10pm this Friday, 23rd of June. Sponsors Cimbali are fronting a €250 prize for a latte art comp and there will be booze up for grabs too. Register your interest here.
See you there
