In 2010,Veronica and Neil began selling quirky apparel in ‘Wigwam’ nightclub, the first home of 3FE (now Vice Coffee Inc). Their idea evolved into what is now Tamp and Stitch: a small space in the quieter end of Temple Bar that, as the name implies, sells both coffee and clothing – truly a ’boutique’ coffee shop.
Within the Tiffany Blue walls and amongst the industrial décor, is a unique selection of clothes, jewellery, greeting cards and other gifts crafted by local artists. The fashion side of things focuses on print-heavy threads for men, women and children, collected from travels to South America, India and Asia.
On the coffee side, 3FE was a natural choice for coffee supplier, as co-owner Neil is a childhood friend of Colin Harmon. Single origin roasts are a house speciality here but iced coffee and matcha lattes are popular too. If you are peckish, grab yourself one of the cakes supplied by MUD bakery, the owner of which was the runner up in ‘The Great Irish Bake Off 2014’.
The pair are always keen to support up-and-coming, local talent – look out for intimate music gigs, aka the ‘Live From the Cupboard’ sessions, and occasional pop-up dining events by established Dublin chefs.
