With Camden and George’s Streets buzzing at each end, it’s hard to understand why nightlife on Aungier St has remained non-existant. That looks set to change from this Friday when the acclaimed Press Up Group open their latest venue: The Lucky Duck.
The entertainment group behind The Dean, Roberta’s and The Stella Theatre describes their stylish new venue as having:
“…super-comfortable and beautiful surroundings, a relaxed, warm and welcoming service, a delicious dinner menu, a brilliant bar team serving perfect cocktails using fresh ingredients and a thirst quenching selection of beers.”
Pure Fitout have been drafted in to give the building a new lease of life after standing vacant for over 20 years and the result is champion.
The Victorian-style Ground Floor Pub features: an ornate antique bar, a spacious snug and one of the shortest Guinness lines in Dublin.
In contrast, the three floors above are focused on cocktails and food with intimate rooms, open fires, a large collection of spirits and cosy snugs. Chef Stephen Ryan’s menus put seasonal, modern twist on Irish pub food. While cocktails, created by chief mixologist Paddy Noir introduce the “closed-loop” concept (in “short less waste and more taste”) to Dublin.
The Lucky Duck opens this Friday 27 April at 5pm.
Ground Floor Pub – 7 days 12pm
